| GAH! HOLIDAYS!!!! :) |
Hey everyone!
So I'm sitting here listening to the Elf soundtrack, which is jam-packed w/ wonderful classic holiday songs. (Currently listening to Ella Fitzgerald singing "Let It Snow".) So uhm, yes. I've been thinking about the holidays a lot recently...even though Christmas is over a month away-but that's no reason to not shop for presents early or extend the holiday spirit to everyone!!!! I absolutely love it. As soon as I get out of my p.j.s I'm gonna head on over to UTC to look at all of the decorations and probably spend money in like, all the stores. I shouldn't, but I just might. Haha-woooo!!!! shopping self-control! HEY! You know what really annoyes me?!?! The fact that you can't have candles in your dormb/c they're considered a fire hazard. I WANNA BUY A HOLIDAY SCENTED CANDLE FROM LIKE< ILLUMINATIONS TO MAKE MY ROOM SMELL LIKE THE FREAKING HOLIDAYS, GODDAMN IT! RAAARRRRRR. Fine. Whatever, fire nazis. Just, whatever.
I just love that chilly feeling in the air and the warm holiday colors and the decorations and the music...it makes me so happy! I just got back from lunch w/ Maddie (p.s. "Lonely Christmas Eve" just came on by Ben Folds...this song makes me laugh. I <3 The Grinch. Not the movie, but the book.) and Maddie's Jewish and can't STAND the holiday season b/c she feels that she was discluded as a kid-and I totally see where she's coming from. Me and Tracey are like, "what if my mom sends me a tree from Colorado? Would you sit under it with us?" and I was like, "Can I still get you a Christmas present?" and (no beat) she's like, "Yes. That's completely acceptable." I was like, "Would you open your present with us under the little tree???" and she said yeah, so we're trying. Lol-not that we're trying to sway her, but she literally hates the holiday season (bah humbug).
I LOVE IT-we were also talking about how weird it is that we get accustumed to our lives here at the college and then we go home for a month and go back to our old lives...it's just a weird concept. Trace was like, "we're all going home for a month to our lives and everything is completely different, and then coming back here together agaiin." It really might not sound that weird, but it totally is. Hm. But I can't wait to see all of you-no joke. Playing D&D-will and steve will both be back-we'll all be back together again! We can watch disney & lost over at nicole's, collin & charles, & I can have cooking adventures...we can all go ice skating at horton...I can't wait to be back for almost a whole month to spend with all of you again! But I guess that goes w/o saying. :) Tony'll be back and we can make horrible jokes together and Aly and I can go on our lucky shopping adventures togther. AWWWWW-I can't wait already!
Plus I see Jer for a freaking week out there (lol and probably Andrew Hernandez too!!!)...it's going to be a wonderful winter break. I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE!

I'm so happy right now! Gah! okay! time to get out there and go to the mall to just absorb it all. I love the holidays.

P.S. If you guys have any xmas wishes that aren't too astronomically expensive or something, lemme know.

I think because it is chilly out..or at least it is near my house.

I think it's a general vote that you, Steph, will have to put some snow in a bag and bring it back with you to California, just so them folksies can see what it's really like (and you non CA-all-my-lifers can see it again). I dunno: we'll get you a thermos - it'll be like a science project or something. Well, actually, in that case, it probably won't work, but dammit but won't it look fine!!

PS I wrote an essay about you in Theory of Knowledge today. We had to write about a person, event, or object that impacted our life substantially, and analyze their effects in retrospect. I had lots of good things to say :)
