*ORIGINAL POST*

So, uhm, I was doing this scene from "Oleanna" in my acting class, and if you know the show, you know how intense the last scene is; basically, Oleanna gets the shit kicked out of her onstage by her professer whom she wrongfully accuses of raping her. Ok.........GO! So my scene partner is this foreign exchange student Tim, who is luckily amazingly talented AND dedicated. Even much more dedicated than I. It's crazy. In any case, I guess I bruise easily and I took some pictures so that I can look back and be like, "Yeah-that's me. I'm hard core." This bruise is insane. Anywho, I figured, why stop there? I've taken a few pictures and was like, ya know? Time for a college update for everyone to see the random college shiat that goes on. So here we go!!!

(Hahahaha, oh those crazy college kids...apparently, they take the extra "N" out of Bonner Hall all the time...they still haven't replaced it.)

Okay, so funny story about this picture- Brad is in the Financial Services Office talking about becoming an independent on his tax return, and someone from the SD Tribune is in there and says they're doing a story about student finances...they want to take a picture of him and this other girl in the office to put in the paper; Brad told me he intentionally posed in a dramatic style to beat out the other girl's picture...guess it worked, because this was definitely a huge freaking picture in the Tribune a couple of weeks ago...Nicole was here for the whole story when it first happened. AMAZING Picture.

We have lakes toooo!!! No CHS, but I saw it and my mind meandered back to my high school days of old. In any case, there you have it!

And facebook joins hands with high schools and universities nation-wide...it's pretty exciting.
:)

ALSO exciting! RANDOMLY Aly was like, We're visiting Tony next week so I'm like, Ok, sweet deal. THEN she's like, next day though, I'm meeting some people at Disneyland. And I'm like, Can't spend $60 on a ticket b/c I'm going to Busch Gardens in VA and need to save for that. THEN, she's like, Use Mallory's pass and b/c it's a blockout day for her, just pay the extra $30. So I'm like, Sweet deal. So next weekend entails seeing Tony and probably his show, Disneyland, then the next night, the Ben Taylor concert w/ Brad & Adam Munns and Amanda Marks. It's going to be amazing. This weekend includes getting my taxes done and trying to read 2 Thebian plays for my HUM essay that's due a week from monday...and after all of that stuff for next weekend? Gotsta do it ahead of time. (I'll actually be DOING my essays NOT 10 hours or less before they're due...incredible). ALSO-this school has turned me into a major lit head. Seriously-I've found that I must be in the right mood for Virginia Woolf, E.B. White can write outside of Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web, Hunter S. Thompson is a freaking drugged up genious, and that I dislike Hemmingway's style immensly. I have also determined that my favorite author as of now is James Joyce; all of you non-Oxford students will read "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" senior year-by far one of my favorites and, if you have Mayfield (which I hope you will), you'll see the amazing technique involved. James Joyce = best. Period. I'm really hoping to take a class next quarter called "The End of Victorianism" which studies among others, Robert Louis Stevenson and H.G. Wells. Fingers crossed there'll still be seats when I sign up on monday morning.

But that's about all...congrats to Nicole who's finding out about her college acceptances in the next two weeks or so-I know you'll do just fine, baby. Seriously. You'll be great.

Ok-work in about an hour and I'm hungry. Much love to you all, and have a fantabulous day!!!!

:)

(P.S. Flight to VA = 17 days and counting!!!!)
